Udderly delicious.

My friend describes me as "A Jersey." As in cow. I'm not offended.

Micah has grown three inches and gained over two pounds in his first three weeks. My pediatrician actually laughed when she saw his chart. A runt no more.

Note the Bailey cleft chin.

Note the Vandagriff jowls (my mother's words, not mine).

His two-hour feeding schedule is obviously working out for him.

Geek speak.

Jack just came up to Allan wearing a hard hat and holding two toy screwdrivers. He said "you're my prodigal droid. I need to build you".

"You mean 'protocol droid'"?

"Yeah. I need to build you because your parts are showing."

Jack in lights.

I have a good friend here who, even though she's only three years older than I, we lovingly refer to as "Jack's third grandma." She loves to spoil him rotten. She's the first to admit it.

She's an equal opportunity spoiler. All the kids in the ward love her. So it makes sense that she's the Primary president. Starting a few months ago she started spotlighting a child every Sunday. This isn't any ordinary spotlight. She makes a great poster for each child and buys them a king-sized version of their favorite candy.

Jack had his turn on Sunday. For history's sake, I'm posting the content of the spotlight because it is Jack through and through. He is universally recognized as a quirky kid, and oh, how I love him for it.

Full Name: John Allgood Bailey

Story surrounding his birth: Mom and Dad were ready. The doctor was ready. But Jack was not ready to leave his comfortable home. After a week, the doctor decided to force him out into the world. Because his Mom's pregnant belly was so small, everyone was surprised how big and tall he was when he arrived. The first thing his mom said when she saw him was, "You look just like your dad!" Everyone still says that today.

Where: Indianapolis, Indiana

Age: 4

Story of name: Jack was named after his third-great grandfather John Bailey who married a woman named Jane Allgood. They joined the church in England, came to the United States on a big boat, and then crossed the plains to Salt Lake City with the Martin Handcart Company.

Favorite color: Blue

Favorite food: his mom's spaghetti and meatballs

Hero: His dad.

Favorite scripture story: "When Joseph Smith restored the Church"

What is he going to be when he grows up: "Just a normal dad, a prophet, a lawyer, and an innkeeper"

What is his favorite past time: Playing Lego. Especially Lego Star Wars.

Talents: Jack is very good at making people laugh. He is also good at memorizing facts, scriptures, and everything that comes out of his parents' mouths.

What is his favorite subject in school: Snack time.

What makes your child so special? Jack is very inquisitive--He never stops asking questions from the moment he wakes up to the time he goes to bed. He is also very sensitive to other people's feelings--especially his mom's. If Mom is having a bad day he always tries to make her feel better.

Bliss.

All I can think about writing is how much I love my boys. So I'll leave it at that.
