So glad to see him back.

I still think it's a crime that Allan has never seen a single episode of Saved by the Bell.

Daytripper.

I have been desperate for some big city adventures. And Fresno definitely does not qualify as a big city. It took me 2 hours and 17 minutes to get to Los Angeles today. Beautiful drive. Until you hit L.A. (and consequently, the smog). However, this glorious oasis is right off the 405:

The Getty. What I don't get is how on earth this glorious museum only charges you a $10 parking fee? It is absolutely stunning.

A good friend from college drove up from Irvine to meet me there. It was so good to see her. Jack adores her. I adore her. To call it therapeutic would not be an exaggeration.

She snapped some lovely photos of Jack.

And I even got in on the action (but, thankfully, not my underwear).

But alas, we were both too shy to ask a stranger to take a picture of us. So, you'll just have to wait for photos from our next rendezvous to see who my dear friend is (imaginary, you ask?).

(For any interested parties, her name starts with Katie and ends in Barker-now-Christenson. As Lived in Wellington. Majored in Political Science. Mission to Hawaii. From D.C. BYU Law School. That Katie. Lovely girl, I know.)
